We are now recruiting for a Global Inventory Manager in our Dublin Office. (Hybrid)

Job Purpose

In this role, you will oversee all aspects of global inventory planning, including forecast and demand planning, inventory replenishment, and maintaining optimal stock levels and service standards across all global hubs.

Your responsibilities will encompass global inventory process design, implementation, and monitoring, alongside strategic supply chain analysis. You will identify and recommend opportunities for improving the efficiency, effectiveness, and capabilities of our supply chain. Additionally, you will develop and implement supply chain strategies, models, and processes to enhance our business operations.

Scope

  • Business Area: Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions – Parts & Services
  • Regions: Global for process management, and core network sites for demand and inventory planning and inventory replenishment
  • Function headcount: 19

Parts Inventory Planning and Replenishment

  • Formulate and implement stock assortment strategies, policies, and associated service levels to support the Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions targets.
  • Analyse, recommend and implement changes to demand and inventory planning parameters based on agreed commercial strategy, target stock holding and service levels.
  • Collect, identify, prioritize and manage process and IT improvement opportunities related to inventory planning systems in collaboration with regional Inventory Managers and IT
  • Responsible for deploying IMS to the network and ensuring adequate training to all key users.
  • Manage monthly demand planning process execution and lead pilot S&OP process
  • Manage day-to-day replenishment between hubs
  • Supervise stock optimization activities such as scrapping, redistribution and sell-back
  • Responsible for reviewing, developing and monitoring global processes for global parts inventory operations (SMCL and sales areas)
  • Supervise the documentation of inventory related processes and work with other Logistics process owners to improve global logistics processes having dependencies with parts inventory
  • Support Logistics global projects implementation
  • Provide inventory analysis for VP Supply Chain and executive leadership
  • Identify improvement opportunities and provide recommendations to executive leadership
  • Other adhoc duties as requested by management

Your Profile

  • Advanced degree and /or diploma with the supply chain area
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing international teams.
  • Demonstrated experience working in large cross functional multinationals corporations with the ability to network and influence leadership.
  • Expert knowledge of Inventory Management and Demand Planning and extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and managing large scale inventory/ inventory system related projects
  • Strong knowledge of aftermarket business and/or Mining business.
  • Expert knowledge of ERP systems and standard Software, and very good analytic skills.
  • Excellent communication skills & general business acumen.
