Technical Sales Representative - Rock Tools & Ground Support
Environment, Health and Safety

Business Growth & Development
- Support Sandvik customers business by actively promoting and selling Sandvik Aftermarket T&C products and services, with a view to expand sales, and to support Sandvik customer in as many aftermarket businesses opportunities as possible.
- Develop customer relationships that ensure customers remain loyal to Sandvik’ brands.
- Assess technical issues with all Sandvik products and prepare/submit quotations for small to medium expenditure for the Account Manager Builds strong working relationships with relevant customer personnel.
- Travel to customer sites and partnering with customers to provide solutions with respect to aftermarket Tools & Consumables Provides input to Product Line Managers to address product offerings.
- Coordinate product trials and testing as required to further expand the business value of “Premium Product - Premium Service - Competitive Price”. Maintains accurate customer records as prescribed by the Company.
- Monitor parts usage patterns and liaise with Inventory Controllers to ensure appropriate stock levels and stocked items
- Ensure all accounts are operating within Sandvik trading terms.
Financial
- Responsible for achievement of agreed targets
- Ensures accounts are following terms and conditions of sale.
- Provide support and assistant following up outstanding debtors.
- Play an active role in formulating budgets.
- Achievement of customer revenue targets through SIP process.
- Monitor and control costs in accordance with Company targets and policies.
- Produce reports on customer and financial deliverables, including dashboards, data extraction, alerts, workflows and business strategy.
Customer Service
- Liaises between customer and Sandvik on aftermarket issues to ensure all issues are settled in a timely manner.
- Assists customer to identify training opportunities.
- Predictive parts forecasting through analysing customer maintenance strategy and planning to ensure parts availability meets customer demand and expectation.

- Stays current with industry developments, competitive offerings and issues affecting sales and customers.
- Understand product, series, functionality and application; provide feedback to product support, familiar with customer maintenance management processes and reliability programs.

Product and Technical Capabilities/ Competencies
- Demonstrated experience in equipment and aftermarket sales and service with the ability to identify competitive strengths of product and service to improve sales growth, customer support and value selling.
- Demonstrated computer literacy. Be engaged with the tools and systems used by Sandvik to support the commercial process.
- Demonstrated knowledge of rebuild strategic maintenance, full life/ half-life component changouts, testing, defect rectification and commissioning.
- Demonstrated understanding of planning and scheduling maintenance practices
