The role:

The Senior Credit Specialist will support the internal business and Accounts Receivable Manager with customer credit matters, these will include credit limits, payment terms, and Sandvik credit procedures. This role will focus on making improvements and enhancements to Sandvik’s current internal credit controls and making sure they are up to the correct standards.

Areas of responsibility:

  • Evaluate customer credit risks according to the Sandvik Credit Procedure and suggest solutions aimed to mitigate the risk exposure.
  • Manage claims/disputes and credit notes to ensure timely resolution.
  • Processing inbound payments and accurately reconcile payments on customers’ accounts.
  • Liaise with customers to ensure payments made to terms.
  • Review accounts on credit hold and initiate legal actions where necessary according to the Credit Procedure, in consultation with the business and the Accounts Receivable Manager.
  • Manage and coordinate communication with customers and all Sandvik stakeholders where necessary.
  • Validate that internal controls are implemented and operational up to the correct standards
  • Support the Accounts Receivable Manager to develop and implement processes, procedures, and authorization matrix/limits, where applicable.
  • Support the Accounts Receivable Manager in enhancing team engagement and improvements

Your profile:

With 2-3 years of relevant accounts receivable and credit control experience (preference in a large global company), you will bring demonstrated experience in analysing, manipulating, and reports on large volumes of data. You will have an eye for detail and high-level ability in MS Excel, including pivot tables and look ups.

Building rapport with internal and external stakeholders through demonstrating service excellence is something you’re comfortable and confident in engaging with effective verbal and written communication. Also, your ability to think analytically, solve important problems, and demonstrate accountability in your work is highly regarded. A relevant professional education or equivalent relevant industry experience is desirable.
