Technology Development and Services, and Tampere Facility Maintenance is currently seeking a dynamic and skilled Purchasing Engineer. The ideal candidate will demonstrate agility in managing sourcing activities, ensuring compliance with company policies, and driving strategic buying initiatives. This role requires a high level of competence in contract management and a strong ability to work collaboratively with various functions. The position is permanent, full-time and located in Tampere (Myllypuro), Finland.

About the key responsibilities

In this position, your key mission is to develop and implement sourcing plans to meet Technology Development and Services, and Tampere Facility Maintenance needs. You ensure sourcing activities are in alignment with sourcing plan. You manage contracts and ensure compliance with legal and company standards. Act as a strategic buyer, you identify and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions. You collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide effective sourcing solutions. You maintain accurate records of procurement activities and provide regular reports for projects.

Your key competencies

To succeed in this role, the following competencies are essential:

  • Strong understanding of contract management and compliance requirements.

  • Proven experience in strategic sourcing and supplier negotiation.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • High level of competence in using procurement software and tools. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Fluent English and Finnish language skills, both written and spoken.

Your qualifications

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field and minimum of 3-5 years of experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably in technology and facility management. Certification in supply chain management or procurement is a plus.
