Global Product & Application Specialist – Milling

About your team
We passionately challenge and secure product and application development projects within the Rotating Indexable area. Together, we combine product and application knowledge into solutions that create customer value, new insights and business results. Your mission
In this position, you translate customer and business needs into technical specifications and requirements to ensure successful products. You develop and share product application knowledge for the offer to ensure competitiveness and relevance. To enable excellent delivery of products, you work in partnership with the product project team and owner, in accordance with the Sandvik Coromant project model. Staying two steps ahead, you continuously map the competitive landscape to remain up to date on market trends and assist in the development of the product area strategy.
Included in your responsibility:
- Develop expertise within your own area as well as product recommendations and suggestions to increase revenue.
- Share knowledge and expertise to improve efficiency and business impact.
- Ensure that relevant customers and partners are involved in development projects.
- Set and actively manage technical requirements for offer development, including both product and application development.
- Prepare and perform product demonstrations for staff and other stakeholders.
- Develop training materials and perform training for staff and customers.
The location for this position is Sandviken and we offer you a hybrid work solution.
Your profile
You have a clear understanding of customer needs and orientation, marking your service-minded methods of bringing the best experiences toward our customers. As a compelling communicator, you like to share knowledge amongst colleagues and your pedagogical features really come in handy when performing training and learning activities. With creativity and flexibility, you line your work in an agile, analytical and problem-solving way.
You have solid expertise in Rotating Indexable products in general and profile, high feed and groove milling applications. We see it as a plus if you have CAM, ToolPath or Method skills as well as an understanding of our expanded offer. Specific sub segment expertise within aerospace, pump and valve and advanced manufacturing in general are also beneficial. Acting in a truly global environment calls for excellent English skills, verbally and in writing.
