We are Ground Support, the subway experts of the Sandvik Group, the world's leading supplier of rock support and rock reinforcement products, systems and solutions for the subway mining and tunneling industry. We are present in more than 70 countries and employ more than 2,500 people, including technical specialists with extensive experience in the subway industry.

That is why, we are currently looking for the best talent to fill the position of a Regional COO who meets the following profile:

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

Primarily responsible for overseeing and managing operations at the regional level of the organization. Your main objective is to ensure that all operational areas function efficiently, effectively and aligned with the company's global strategy, ensuring that resources are optimally utilized, and allow growth and profitability objectives to be achieved.

REQUIREMENTS:

Professional in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration or related; postgraduate degree desirable in business administration, project management, among others.
At least 15 years of experience in relevant positions, previous executive/managerial experience is mandatory, as well as experience in project positions in a culturally diverse environment.
Level of English +B2 (excl.); Portuguese desirable.
Experience in implementing LEAN methodologies
Experience in production plants in industrial complexes, preferably in metal-mechanics.
Have participated in automation projects and production plant efficiencies.

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

Full responsibility for the budget and costs of operations across Ground Support's LATAM region, including the establishment of quarterly Forecas.
Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
Full understanding and implementation of LEAN and other operational management methodologies.
Translate division strategy into clear execution plans for sites in the region.
Provide strategy and direction to improve product cost, productivity and quality standards.
Develop the region's production sites and their key processes to deliver quality products in a timely, cost and resource efficient manner
Capacity management, planning and management of investment projects, including process improvements required for capacity, capability and cost development according to product line requirements. Ensure compliance with investment budget according to schedule and planned expenditures.
Proactively predict variables that may affect production performance. Design and implement appropriate flexibility strategies in relation to cost structure, capacity, staffing and raw materials that will allow us to remain agile and protect our margin / profit from rises depending on the market cycle.
Develop the organization and its people with our future skills and performance needs in mind, including achieving diversity targets, ensuring succession planning for key positions and managing critical competencies.

LOCATION:

At any of the Ground Support sites within Latin America, but preferably in Guarne, Antioquia.
