Field Service Technician - Mechanical Cutting Equipment

Role Overview:
Join our Road Header Equipment Team and take part in operating and supporting specialized machinery. No prior experience with heavy equipment is required. We welcome candidates with backgrounds in aviation or automotive fields, especially those holding relevant certifications or degrees. English communication skills are preferred. Comprehensive training will be provided upon hiring to ensure your successful transition into the role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular maintenance on construction machinery and repair any defects that occur.
- Provide on-site or remote technical support to customers and employees, delivering clear and concise training on equipment operation and maintenance procedures.
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify performance issues, malfunctions, or wear in mechanical systems and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- Continuously update knowledge on the latest machinery and technological advancements to maintain best practices and ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to enhance system performance and resolve technical issues.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and the scope of work.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 6+ years of technician experience is preferred.
- Proven mechanic experience in heavy equipment maintenance and repair will be highly advantageous.
- A high energy and enthusiasm for the work and industry and be self-driven to achieve.
- Relevant certifications or licenses may be preferred.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Have the ability to listen to the customer's requirements, be able to offer experienced solutions.
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- English proficiency is beneficial
