About the Role
As the Director of BMC Operations, you will define and implement the departments ways of working, overseeing and enhancing BMC operations to ensure top-notch efficiency and data quality.. This role offers you the opportunity to influence and innovate within the BMC field, combining strategic vision with hands-on operational management. Additionally, you will be part of the Brand, Marketing and Communication Management Team and report to the Vice President of Brand, Marketing, and Communication. Location for this role is flexible within Europe, APAC region or Americas.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of BMC Operations, you will shape and execute our strategic initiatives. You will collaborate with the BMC management team to develop and implement the Seco BMC strategy, roadmap, and scorecard, ensuring alignment with Sandvik Machining Solutions and Group objectives. Your role includes designing a robust BMC Process framework, including marketing plan creation.
You will develop and own the Seco BMC technology roadmap, driving its execution with SMS and Sandvik Group stakeholders. Leading the adoption of cutting-edge marketing technologies will be key.
Partnering with Finance, you will ensure accurate monthly reporting on BMC costs and budget, analyze deviations, and create actionable plans. You will also oversee annual BMC operational planning and reporting.
You will lead and support key projects, represent BMC in various councils, and manage the annual BMC Function communication agenda, including all-employee meetings.
Additionally, you will lead special projects identified by the VP of BMC, driving innovation and excellence.
About you
We are looking for someone with Master or Bachelor’s degree in Business Economics, or related field and minimum 5-7 years’ experience working as a Business developer or Project Manager, preferable on Brand, Marketing and Communication performance.
Our ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership skills, efficiently manages budgets, and exhibits a professional and proactive work ethic with a pragmatic and customer-focused approach. You should excel in time management, have a proven track record in financial reporting and project management, and be able to simplify complex concepts and communicate them clearly. Self-motivation and proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and other Microsoft 365 applications as needed are essential, as is valuing the experience of working in a global environment. You excel in both written and verbal English communication and possess the ability to provide leadership and collaborate effectively with executives and key stakeholders. Additionally, a growth mindset is essential, as you will collaborate with peers to influence the direction of the newly established Brand, Marketing and Communication department.
