Quality Manager

Underground Drilling Division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is an industry leading global provider of drilling equipment for underground mining industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers. Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy’s Tampere Site is a global technology and manufacturing center for Underground Drilling equipment.

We are now looking for Quality Manager to join our Underground Drilling Division Production team. This is a permanent position based in Myllypuro Tampere, Finland.

Your role

As a Quality Manager you lead production quality and your team to meet the requirements and customer expectations. You keep up to date on changes in regulations and collaborate with relevant stakeholders. You develop the quality culture in production together with your team and colleagues.

In this role you will focus on improving the production quality and developing the organization quality competence. You will drive the development of proactive quality assurance and lead objectives such as reducing systematic errors and improving problem solving and quality feedback process.

Your main responsibilities, besides leading your team, are owning the operative quality assurance processes and quality competence development in production. You will be responsible for reporting on production quality and further developing related analysis and metrics. You take responsibility for major quality issues in production and drive operational excellence in all related production quality processes. Together with other stakeholders and your team you conduct product and production network audits. You lead and develop collaborative quality competence forums and ensure the daily quality management processes are effective. To achieve current and future business needs you must collaborate broadly in the organization. In this role, you can truly make a real difference.

Your profile

We are looking for a person with clear communication and embraces a holistic view to quality, who is meticulous and pays attention to detail. We expect you to have excellent problem-solving abilities and strong analytical thinking. You have experience of complex manufacturing operations and proven experience in quality management within a production environment. You are also able to drive a culture of operational excellence and can find innovative solutions to complex problems. You want to enrich the quality culture and competence around you.
