Job summary
As a Skilled Service Engineer you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing crushing and screening equipment at customer sites.
You will diagnose and troubleshoot equipment issues, conduct routine inspections, and provide technical support and training to customers.
Acting as the primary contact for customers, you will address technical questions, maintain communication, and manage warranty claims. This role involves coordinating with internal teams and suppliers for timely parts delivery, generating service reports, and ensuring adherence to EHS standards and regulations.
Your profile
We are looking for a candidate with a technical certification, or diploma/degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field), or a mechanical maintenance qualification would be adequate. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience in mechanical maintenance within the quarrying industry and knowledge of quarry operations. Additionally, you should have excellent technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues, with in-house support available. An engaging communicator, with interpersonal skills to interact with customers and teams is crucial. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and experience in equipment installation, maintenance, and repair are necessary, with guidance available. Knowledge of warranty processes is also required. You must be able to work independently whilst managing your time effectively, be willing to travel, and able to adhere to EHS standards and regulations.
