Production Manager – Rotary and Raise Boring

Are you an inclusive leader who wants to inspire your team to keep developing? At Rock Tools, part of Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we’re now looking for a driven and outgoing Production Manager for our production area Rotary and Raise Boring in Sandviken.

Welcome to a role with excellent opportunities to drive improvements and be part of our transformation towards more data driven and process-oriented operations – in an environment that allows you to grow and develop!

About your job

You have the overall responsibility for the Rotary and Raise Boring production, leading the management team in this area. This includes a mix of delivering on daily operational targets and being part of setting the long-term strategic development of our Swedish manufacturing operations. You establish a proactive and productive organization where health, safety and sustainability are vital parts of our operations as well as continue developing our culture.

To ensure quality, on-time delivery and productivity, you stay close to the business and execute relevant activities that manage our production objectives, enhance customer value and meet our financial goals. With both the ability and mandate to influence, you’re a driving force for change, in both rotary and raise boring as well as the PU Management team. You actively work to bring people, processes and technology together – aiming to improve our production and drive development and progress in important areas such as productivity, digitalization and sustainability. People are a cornerstone in everything we do, and you create strong engagement among our employees. At Rock Tools you never work alone!

You report to the Head of Production Units in Sweden and are a valued member of the management team of our Swedish Operations organization.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced operations leader with focus on both people and results – someone with a systematic working style who easily balances operational and strategic topics. You know how to drive change and inspire teams, where you ensure that every member feels included and equally important. You have held leading positions within operations or production, and you’re skilled in Lean manufacturing. A relevant technical or business degree is beneficial, and you must be fluent in Swedish and English.

You strive for high quality and great results, and you’re excellent at prioritizing and making decisions, as well as challenging us to look at new perspectives. You can lead and drive strategic questions cross-functionally, and you work to further strengthen customer focus, knowledge, skills and collaboration within our organization. By communicating in a confident and informative way that brings people onboard, you set the direction for our operations. Continuous improvements, involvement and endurance are winning keys in this role, and you truly are a passionate and encouraging leader!
