Currently, we have an opening for an Accounting Generalist. In this role you will be responsible for handling cash application, preparing journal entries, and performing bank and GL account reconciliations. Responsibilities also include managing intercompany invoicing, monthly tax reconciliation, and supporting financial closings and reporting. Additionally, the role includes assisting with audits, providing ad hoc reports, and offering backup support for other roles within the financial team.

The Accounting Generalist will report to the SFS Finance and Business Controller, Americas and will be responsible for:
Cash Application
Prepare and record journal entries to ensure a proper recording of all business transactions
Performing bank reconciliations and GL account reconciliations
Intercompany Invoicing, registration and payment
Monthly Tax Reconciliation and filing
Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual closings and reporting.
Support the Financial and Business Controller in their joint responsibility for the Sandvik Financial Services Group reporting
Assisting with External/internal Audits, tax audits or all other external requirements
Adhoc reports
Back-up for other roles
What you will bring along
Diploma in Accounting, Business Administration, or equivalent business experience
2-5 years of relevant accounting experience
Exposure to the banking, leasing, or financing industry is a bonus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel
Experience working with ERP systems, SAP knowledge preferred
Fluent in English
Strong attention to detail
Business acumen
Problem-solving skills
