Product Safety and Compliance Engineer
Load & Haul Division’s Turku plant with in Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is an industry leading global provider of loaders and trucks for underground mining industry. Product Compliance team, as part of Product Offering organization is now looking for a highly motivated and technically skilled Product Safety and Compliance Engineer to join our team. This permanent position is based at the Sandvik Turku site, a global technology and manufacturing center for load and haul equipment. The role also offers the flexibility of hybrid work, allowing for partial remote work.
Your mission
As a Product Safety and Compliance Engineer, your main responsibility is to ensure together with key stakeholders that new and existing products placed into market are compliant with the applicable regulations in their intended market areas. In this role, you will:
Focus on improving product safety in our projects
Lead risk assessments and cybersecurity analysis
Perform safety analyses
Follow global industry trends, safety standardization, and regulation development especially in cyber security
Write safety related documentation
Develop and implement new ways of working and best practices for Load & Haul product compliance
Give training internally on product safety regulations and processes.
Your character
We are looking for Master or Bachelor of Science or Engineering in the field of safety engineering, automation, or similar. You have already experience in working with mobile machinery and understand functional safety and risk assessment methods. You are also familiar with machinery regulations and standards and have some knowledge of Cyber resilience act and other cybersecurity regulations. You are a good team player and able to work in international multi-cultural environment. Fluent spoken and written English is required in this role.
