Are you ready to make a meaningful impact and set the future direction of our process development? We’re currently looking for a Process Lead to join our IT organization at Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR). This is your chance to influence a global IT organization, drive innovation through automation, and play a key role in our strategic IT initiatives!

Some words about your new team

You’ll join a collaborative IT organization built on operational excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement. You’ll join our Operational Excellence team, responsible for supporting various IT teams across SMR with effective, fit-for-purpose operating models across the IT landscape, process management and operational support.

Your mission
As the Process Lead for Incident and Problem Management, you drive alignment, optimization, and continuous improvement of these key IT service management processes across the SMR business area. You’re a central figure in ensuring that processes are consistently managed, adopted, and refined to deliver operational excellence and tangible business value. This position offers the opportunity to engage with teams across the business and IT landscapes to achieve lasting impact.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process Governance: Align process goals and priorities across IT teams, ensuring consistency in execution and performance throughout the organization.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvements, optimize process design, and identify opportunities for automation using tools such as ServiceNow and Power BI.
  • Monitoring: Track process performance, compliance, and adherence to ensure that business outcomes are met.
  • Collaboration: Engage with business divisions, IT departments and transformation programs to consolidate requirements and align process priorities.
  • Documentation: Maintain process documentation, define data attributes, and support stakeholders in ensuring effective adoption.
  • Quality: Ensure data quality, accuracy and relevance as a foundation for decision-making and improvement efforts.

You report to Head of Operational Excellence at SMR IT. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Tampere, Finland, or Stockholm or Sandviken, Sweden, with hybrid work options. As this is a global role, some international travel may occasionally be needed.

Your profile

  • A degree in IT, business management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT service management or process management, including expertise in Incident and Problem Management.
  • Proficiency with the ITIL framework and hands-on experience with ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow).
  • Strong analytical skills including experience in process performance analysis and reporting (e.g., using PowerBI).
  • Proven ability to optimize processes, define KPIs, and drive alignment across IT teams and business stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in English to ensure effective communication and collaboration in a global environment.

We value your personal qualities – you’re organized and analytical, excelling at driving process improvements and analyzing performance metrics. As a collaborative leader, you foster alignment across IT teams and stakeholders, ensuring a shared understanding of process goals. You’re results-driven, focused on delivering optimized solutions that achieve measurable business outcomes. Being proactive and self-motivated, you take ownership and deliver impactful improvements. Additionally, you are a clear and confident communicator who can consolidate requirements, define priorities, and engage both technical and business teams effectively.
