Victor Dossetto is a true role model for diversity and inclusion. He has built a team with more than 40 percent female managers and four different nationalities represented.
Victor Dossetto, Vice President Latin America at Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions, has diversity, equity, and inclusion high on his agenda.
“After reading various articles and studies on business models, it became evident to me that diverse teams yield better results. This realization sparked the initiative to increase female representation in our leadership team,” Dossetto says.
He firmly believes that the commitment and professionalism demonstrated by his female leaders will positively influence future decisions and drive sustainable business results within Sandvik Rock Processing Solutions.
“Their diverse perspectives and approaches bring invaluable insights to our decision-making processes, ultimately driving innovation and success,” he says. “Gender diversity in our leadership team has enriched our decision-making processes by promoting varied viewpoints and considerations.”
He thinks leaders need to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion as fundamental components of their organizational culture.
“You need to foster an environment where all individuals feel valued, respected, and empowered to contribute their unique perspectives. Building a truly exceptional team requires equitable inclusion of individuals with unique perspectives and backgrounds. Our differences are what make us special and contribute to our collective success,” Dossetto concludes.
Looking ahead, he envisions a future where diversity, equity, and inclusion are not merely goals to be achieved, but integral components of our daily lives and activities. “Let us embrace diversity as a source of strength and innovation, recognizing the immense value that diverse perspectives bring to Sandvik and the communities we operate and live in,” he says.
Outside of work, Victor Dossetto is a devoted father of three children, including one with special needs. His personal journey underscores his deep-rooted commitment to equity and empowerment – in the workplace and beyond.
