Take a canoe ride and get to know Global Project Manager Angélica Gonzáles. It will take just a minute…
Bogota, Colombia; Barcelona, Spain; and now Stockholm, Sweden – Angélica Gonzáles could be called something of a globetrotter, but she’s found her home at Sandvik.
In 2010 she was accepted to the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, and what was supposed to be a six-month stay evolved into a 12-year romance with the country, the people and her work at Sandvik.

“Being an engineer is all about finding solutions to problems,” she says, “which makes it a perfect job for an inquisitive person like me.”
Creativity is a driving force. It was during her first project work with Sandvik Coromant when she was still a student that she learned that you can travel from idea to high-quality product without killing creativity.
“That lesson has stayed with me to this day.”
