Sandvik included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index 2020
Sandvik has been selected as a member of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI). It is considered one of the most respected global sustainability indices, in which only the top 10 percent sustainable companies in each respective industry are included.
Sandvik was included in both the DJSI World and the DJSI Europe indices and scored better than 92 percent of the companies assessed in its industry.
"We see sustainability excellence as a great business opportunity, making our customers more productive, cost-efficient and safe. Our inclusion in the DJSI proves that sustainability is an integral part of our operations,” says Stefan Widing, President and CEO at Sandvik.
Last year, Sandvik launched four 2030 sustainability goals to even further embed sustainability in its operations, addressing a circular society, carbon emissions, people and fair play. Since then, all business areas and divisions are working on defining how to contribute to achieving the goals, in the areas most material to them.
