Sandvik displays next generation equipment at CONEXPO-CON/AGG
Sandvik is showcasing several new innovative mining and rock excavation equipment solutions at the ongoing CONEXPO-CON/AGG in Las Vegas, US. The focus is, as always, on helping customers to further improve their safety and productivity. Here are some of the highlights.
Surface drill rigs – Pantera DP1100i
The well-known DPi series surface top hammer drill rigs have been taken to a completely new level with notable upgrades to their productivity and economy. “More productive than ever before” means not only drilling with one of the most efficient top hammer drill rigs in the world, but also a totally new way of thinking of drilling and related processes. New Sandvik digital technology, support for new drill rig options and enhanced troubleshooting functions, together with the new control system, enables easier and even more accurate operations..
Sandvik UI310+ wheeled impact crusher
Sandvik UI310+ is an electrically driven wheeled crushing unit which offers a versatile and highly efficient primary crushing solution. Electrically driven, it offers a cost-effective solution for aggregates producers who require the productivity and reliability of Sandvik crushers without the onsite mobility of tracked plant.
Sandvik QE441 Free Flow mobile scalper
Sandvik QE441 Free Flow is a new addition to the scalper range. A versatile and highly efficient mobile solution for handling sticky, moist and wet materials with a high percentage of fines, it is ideal for processing materials such as soils, aggregates, ore, waste, biomass and other waste-derived fuels, including products with high moisture contents.
Launch of automated Sandvik CS550 cone crusher
Cone crusher Sandvik CS550 is a powerful secondary stage crusher for 700- to 750-ton applications, designed with the key goal of accomplishing more work at each crushing stage while maintaining overall efficiency.
The newcomer’s high intake capacity increases productivity by allowing the crusher to process more material in the primary stage, while the advanced automation optimizes capacity, reduction and process security. Compared with similar types of crushers, Sandvik CS550 achieves up to 25 percent higher reduction ratios.
Sandvik CS550 can be set to fit a huge variety of application needs.
While nothing prevents Sandvik CS550 from being used in mining applications, it is primarily intended for use in stationary construction. From a practical standpoint this means aggregate quarries, although contractors looking for mobile solutions may also benefit.
“When it comes to closed side settings, the wide range, together with more and bigger throws, gives you extreme flexibility, since Sandvik CS550 can be set to fit a huge variety of application needs,” says Martin Johansson, Life-Cycle Manager, Cones and Gyratory crushers at Sandvik.
