Sandvik hosted the Gear Summit
This week Sandvik hosted the first-ever Gear Summit in Sweden. World-leading decision makers and experts in the gear industry were invited to discuss common challenges and future gear manufacturing.
The Gear Summit 2015 provided the opportunity for the some 25 guests to participate in workshops, seminars and discussions on opportunities and threats for the gear industry, as well as future trends and solutions. New cutting technologies are about to transform the gear-manufacturing business and the event focused on this shift in technology, and how it will shape the future of the competitive landscape.

I believe this summit has been an important way for us to network and get a deeper understanding on common trends in our industry", says Kenneth Sundberg, Gear Manager, Gear Milling Solutions, Sandvik Coromant.
The main part of the event was held at the new Sandvik Coromant Center in Sandviken, but the participants also visited the Sandvik HQ in Stockholm and the Sandvik Coromant site in Gimo.
