Supplier Development Leader
The Underground Drilling Division within Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is an industry leading global provider of drilling equipment for underground mining and tunneling industry with focus on technology development and future innovative solutions to enable sustainable operations for our customers. Sandvik Mining and Construction Oy’s Tampere Site is a global technology and manufacturing center for Underground Drilling equipment. We are now looking for a Supplier Development leader in the Sourcing team. The role is permanent and based in Tampere, Finland.
Your responsibilities
As a Supplier Development Leader you will lead the development of our Supplier Development and Supplier Quality processes. Your main responsibility is to proactively ensure and further develop performance level of our suppliers.
Your main activities will be:
- Ownership of the Supplier Development and Supplier Quality processes
- Securing the fulfillment of Sandvik Quality Processes by maintaining Supplier Quality Manual and Purchased Material Requirements
- Creation of Supplier audit plans and conduct audits for the new and current suppliers
- Coordinating internal and external resources to support supplier quality
- Leading Supplier Development Projects based on supplier audit or assessment results
- Act as main coordinator for critical claim management
- Creation of Advanced Quality Plans including as an example Control plans for new or current suppliers
- Giving consultancy for Engineering in New Product Development process about manufacturability of new components
Your skills and qualifications
You are a practical and action-oriented person with Quality mindset build in you. It is natural for you to coach and guide other with your knowledge. You can easily build strong professional relationships with relevant stakeholders and suppliers. You are willing to drive change and improvement in our process and ways of working.
You have a suitable degree in Engineering (Bachelor or Master) and several years working experience from Manufacturing environment. You are mastering Quality systems (ISO) requirements, Quality Management and issue resolution methods and tools. You are experienced in leading improvement project and want to bring your views in order to further develop our Supplier Development and Quality.
Hands on experience of various Manufacturing processes such as welding, machining, assembly and surface treatment as well as welding qualifications are considered as a strong advantage (IWS, IWI, IWT or IWE).
This job requires willingness to travel and fluent Finnish and English language skills.
