Contract Supervisor -M1

The role:
The Contract Supervisor is responsible for the performance management of operations and growth of the business to ensure compliance of the established commercial contract between Sandvik and customer with the objective of increasing service line and business line with the introduction of existing and new product line offering.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prioritize, and schedule the team’s activities so that resources are used effectively, and that work schedules and targets are met.
- Monitor the status of contract activities to identify problem areas and adapt procedures to improve the overall performance of the team.
- Manage operations according to best practices, mining industry standards and mine’s owner requirements.
- Liaise with functional or operational area managers (for example in sales, marketing, finance, supply and logistics) to ensure that contract activities are integrated with other parts of the business
- Ensure effective revenue and profitability of contract
- Take responsible approach to health, safety and environment risks in relation to your own job and that of your team and to control the risks or report them to management accordingly
Profile Required:
- Grade 12/equivalent qualification
- N6 Electrical Engineering and certificate of Trade (accompanied by apprenticeship contract or apprenticeship portfolio of evidence)
- Diploma or Degree in Commercial Contract Administration/Management/Business Administration/Engineering will be advantageous.
- At least 2 years Commercial Contract Administration/Management experience, preferably in mining or industrial sectors
- Good understanding of Underground of Collision Prevention Systems and electricals on mining equipment
- At least 2 years’ experience in surface mining.
- Physical and medical ability to function in a trackless mining environment
- Attention to detail and the ability to work logically, consistently, and accurately
- Self-motivated and excellent time management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Basic project and change management processes and skills
- Computer literacy - Advanced Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- English proficiency
- Strong financial background
- Strong Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) focus
- Must have a valid drivers’ licence
