Workshop Trainee

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Work from verbal/written maintenance instructions for routine workshop activities.
Assemble and transport materials handling equipment.
Use a variety of simple trade tools.
Assist with maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and parts.
Assigned to specific trade area (e.g. mechanical) and carry out some routine aspects of the trade activity, according to training requirements.
Learn how to apply basic knowledge of the service technician area, such as mechanics/materials.
Complete basic reports and/or documents of work completed, as required under supervision.
Observe how to communicate with the customer, where applicable.
Network and attend training to become qualified technician.
Learn about the routine work procedures (using the tools provided), and start working according to safety standards.
Learn how to prepare and execute all activities in line with SHEQ rules, regulations, procedures, instructions, guidelines, and promote awareness, including addressing anomalies to others.
