At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) we are now looking for an experienced, charismatic and results-oriented Sales Manager Mining to plan, direct and drive sales activities within Mining sector in Sweden to achieve established sales targets.

ABOUT THE ROLE


The main aim of this role is to plan, direct and drive sales activities within Mining sector in Sweden to achieve established sales targets. The main responsibilities include measuring and improving supplies and commercial services, searching for potential markets for SMR DSI Underground and defining strategic commercial plan by market.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Being curious and eager to explore new possibilities, you constantly keep an eye on development and market trends, you identify potential, strategic clients, identify market size by sales volume and product, seek new markets for SMR DSI Underground, ensure the best possible profitability for the business based on market conditions.

By monitoring customer’s portfolios and comprehensively understanding their needs, being familiar with use and consumption of the products by the customers, you establish and maintain good business relationships, drive customer value and increase our competitiveness.


Your responsibilities include among others:

  • Monitoring the status of contracts, ensuring compliance with agreements and accuracy of receipts
  • Overseeing all price requests, follow-ups to close deals, payment terms and lines of credits approved and used for each customer, participating in tenders and biddings
  • Taking responsibility for complying with the budget, preparing sales budgets and forecasts based on client, segment, and product
  • Taking responsibility for measuring and improving supplies and commercial services, identification of preventive actions and improvements within the scope of responsibilities
  • Proposing, participating in, and keeping informed about fairs, seminars or other activities that could be of interest to the company
  • Visiting clients and markets frequently, preparing post-visit reports

OUR REQUIREMENTS

We are looking for a strong and trustworthy relationship builder with genuine interest in fostering healthy business connections with customers and mines in Sweden, preferably with a technical university degree, combined with extensive experience from a similar role (min. 5 years), specifically in the mining industry.

We believe that a high-level ground support knowledge as well as very good knowledge of market conditions by level of competitiveness and credit exposure risk are required for this role. We also expect you to be able to communicate technical issues to non-technical colleagues as well as to engage in technical discussions with mine engineers.

Proficiency in Swedish and technical English are essential.
