Test Engineer

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is the leading provider of equipment and tools as well as maintenance and technical services for the mining industry. Its products include drill rigs, mechanical mining equipment, crushers, loading and hauling equipment and material processing equipment.

Our Product and Component Testing team is now looking for a Test Engineer. The position is permanent, full-time and based in Tampere (Myllypuro), Finland.

Your role

As a Test Engineer you will be a member of the Product Quality and Validation team at Underground Drilling R&D. You will be responsible for test planning in new products, new features engineering and component testing. Your role covers component and system functionality, performance and durability testing both at factory and in the customer mine sites. You shall also be responsible for Test result documentation.

Your background and what we find important

You have a relevant technical education and prior experience in Hydraulics, Electrics and Automation. Your background may be in engineering, product support, production or service. You have interest in testing of complete systems, and you are motivated to continuously develop your skills. Succeeding in this role requires independent way of working and good communication and teamwork skills. Working with the products in the testing environment requires good physical fitness. In your daily work you can communicate in English and Finnish.
