We are looking for a proactive Quality Assurance & Quality Control Engineer for our newly established heavy machinery assembly factory in Seremban - Sendayan Techvalley for the underground load & haul equipment.

About the Division

The Load & Haul Division, the home of Sandvik loaders and trucks for underground mining business. Here we are safer, stronger, and smarter, as we like to say it. We have been the market leader by accelerating diesel and battery-electric equipment development, with sharpened priorities. We work in close co-operation with the sales areas within the Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions Business Area, to provide the best possible service to our customers. Load & Haul home base is located in Turku, Finland. Additionally, we have operations in Camarillo, USA and Changzhou, China as well in Seremban, Malaysia.

Do we share the same goals?

In this position you are primarily responsible to monitor overall process, participate change initiatives, develop & drive continuous improvement for incoming production materials, post-production and finally about the finish goods. Ultimately, best utilize the Company’s quality control capacity as well to promote effective documentation for ISO management.

  • Together with Quality Manager, co-develop the Quality Management System, ISO 9001 including document control, calibration management system, non-conforming controls, and ensure it is implemented within the company
  • Assist Quality Manager in daily operation
  • Secure, improve and support processes and work methods, which will enable Sandvik to meet or exceed our customer expectations for our products and services
  • Support and handle suppliers claims, and customer claim related matters
  • Follow up all CPAR raised and ensure its effectiveness being followed up or monitored constantly
  • Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive measurements
  • Conduct final inspection, product audit and internal audit as per requirement
  • Join the Quality Manager, to educate employees on QC standards & related improvement topics
  • Contribute, support & lead continual improvement activities when necessary
  • Proactively collaborate with manufacturing engineering, sourcing, production, warehouse & other stakeholders
  • Staying current on industry and market trends and best practices
  • Taking EHS and Quality requirements into account at work
  • Ensure Sandvik Way of Working procedures are in place and always adhered
  • Participate in implementation and understand SAP module S/4 Hana, ARIBA system – if required
  • Battery technology background considered an advantage

Your background and what we find important

This role would be ideal for someone looking to further develop and motivated for new challenges to enhance expertise in the quality assurance & quality control area. As a person you have excellent communication & customer relationship skills, strategic, resourceful, passion for continuous improvement, meticulous to details and deliver as required, fluent English speaking with a minimum 8 years’ experience in heavy machineries assembly / manufacturing environment or equivalent, who is familiar with LMW / Bonded Warehouse setup, experience with SAP S/4 Hana & Ariba system utilization with suitable degree or other education certificates from technical & vocational institutes.

We are looking for a solution-oriented, reliable, flexibility, adaptability, effective and consistent QAQC resources to balance formal quality work and the need for creative solutions.​ Broad experience in Lean methodology and six sigma best practice.
