Sandvik Mining and Rock Technology is a global leader in equipment and tools, service, and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries.
We are looking for an ambitious Project Manager to join our Logistics Services team within the Parts & Services organization.
Location: Dublin, Ireland; Eindhoven, Netherlands; Tampere, Finland
Job Purpose: As a Project Manager, you will plan, organize, monitor, execute, and control mid-range projects to ensure delivery according to project objectives and Sandvik project models. You will work independently with minimal guidance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Project Management:
- Manage supply chain improvement projects within specific functions, regions, or product lines, typically lasting 6 to 18 months.
- Develop and execute project plans and detailed designs in collaboration with sponsors and stakeholders.
- Lead and motivate project teams, ensuring efficient use of technical and administrative resources.
- Communicate effectively with project team members and stakeholders.
- Manage project dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
- Follow-up and report on project status, including cost, time, and quality.
- Manage scope changes imposed by customers or steering group decisions.
- Network Design Initiatives:
- Identify opportunities within Sandvik's logistics network that may form large-scale projects in the future.
- Conceptualize and scope out network design opportunities, planning data analysis phases in alignment with stakeholders.
- Identify dependencies on other systems, processes, and logistics teams before starting network design studies.
- Obtain and analyze data sets using various analytical tools to yield effective results and recommendations.
- Ensure recommendations capture all possible scenarios and include a high-level business case.
- Develop a transition plan for project implementation once network design recommendations are approved.
Your Profile:
- Degree in project management or supply chain discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related supply chain role and a minimum of 3 years in project management.
- Fluent in English with the ability to travel globally if required.
- Strong problem-solving skills, using analytical tools like PowerBI and advanced Excel.
- Excellent communication skills to build consensus and trust with stakeholders.
- Experience in reviewing and improving project management methods, tools, and processes.
