About the role:

This position is primarily responsible for the scheduling and planning of engineering activities. As an Engineering planner, you will support and track planned and unplanned works for the Engineering team and monitor and track key activities across all engineering projects.

Specifically, you will:

Capture all project-related activities in a combined schedule using internal systems
Establish and maintain strong relationships with the engineering managers and team leaders to allocate resources and determine capacity constraints
Monitor unplanned work and work with affected parties on rearranging priorities
Provide reports to the Engineering Manager and other relevant stakeholders outlining scheduling changes and other activities as required
Provide transparency on overall delivery to schedule through accurate reporting and communication
Measure on-time delivery performance
Review budget for every project and track actual/forecast on a regular basis
Establish benchmark and tools for estimating project cost
Report and measure performance to budget
Ensure compliance with Safety in Design procedures is considered in all forecasts and schedules

To be successful in the above duties, you will have:

Previous project management experience
Previous experience planning engineering projects or similar
Ability to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment
Excellent communication skills to liaise with clients, operations and project management
Sound knowledge of MS Project for scheduling, including resource allocation and integration of different schedules
Strong MS Excel skills
