Product Manager
Are you a product professional with strong business acumen and relevant industrial/technical knowledge who can lead and manage both strategic and tactical activities of a business in a diverse and impactful role? Are you excited to resolve customer problems through great products, services and solutions while making them a profitable business over their lifecycles? We are now looking for Product Manager to join our Product Management team in Sandvik’s Attachment Tools Division to speed up our growth journey and to lead and further develop our offerings related to construction, mining and demolition solutions.
In Product Management, we are responsible for our products to meet with customer needs and expectations while our own financial targets set. This means that we drive, influence, and collaborate across the various functions and levels of our organization.
The preferable location for this position is our Division headquarters factory in Lahti, Finland. However other location options can be considered. The role requires travelling globally e.g., to attend conferences & events and to visit customers and partners.

Attachment Tools Division designs, develops and manufactures hydraulic hammers. Our strength is to deliver best-in-class solutions with superior aftermarket support that meet and exceed customer productivity needs in infrastructure, demolition, recycling, and mining industries.
Your mission
As a Product Manager, your priority will be to understand customer needs and industry trends in both short- and long-term perspectives and convert them into clear product visions and offering strategies. These will be basis for the product and project requirements set to the engineering and technology development organizations. Furthermore, you will act as a business case owner and project sponsor for the new product development activities within your product line. Finally, you oversee the selected products over the full lifecycle and ensure competitiveness, profitability, market fit, superior quality and uncompromised safety.
Your main responsibilities
Develop and propose a product line strategy, analyze market trends and competitors, define market segments, and gather product feedback from various stakeholders.
Collaborate with R&D and Sales to identify and evaluate new product ideas and improvements and translate research findings into marketable products.
Initiate, define, and sponsor new product development projects, oversee launch planning, and decide on current product engineering priorities.
Ensure product profitability by determining product specifications, options, and pricing, and coordinate planning with R&D, marketing, supply, and sales.
Oversight of overall commercial success of the product offering, reviewing financial performance, product quality, and availability.
Overall responsible for managing the competitiveness of the product line in terms of technical features & benefits.
Your profile
We are looking for highly motivated, innovative and customer focused leader with several years of experience from Product Development or Product Management. You have also experience in team leading, project or other stakeholder management roles. By education you hold a university degree (M.Sc.) preferably within the area of technical studies. Travelling is a natural part of your job.
You enjoy working in an international business environment and have solid hands-on capabilities to work with different stakeholders, such as customers/product end users, sales & marketing, R&D and engineering, finance and supply chain. Energetic personality with a positive mindset along with excellent presentation and communication skills are essential to succeed in the position. Leadership skills are essential to lead virtual and/or project teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
