Product Engineer, Batteries

We are seeking Product Engineer to assume responsibility of ensuring that proprietary batteries for BEV related products are technically in accordance with internal and external requirements and that the engineering documentation is up to date and available for stakeholders. You make relevant decisions related to all technical issues within a specific product.

Your main responsibilities:

  • Responsibility for Battery Statement of Requirements (SOR) from engineering point of view.
  • Responsibility for product process such as BOM management, configuration management, and CAD models.
  • Identify and manage technical risks.
  • Ensuring product costs are at an acceptable level.
  • Product 3D-layout maintenance.
  • Maintain product design according to the CPE quarter package process.
  • Knowledge of specific industry-related technologies and protocols.
  • Track actual work/estimate accuracy and report the variance to management.
  • Conduct regular product inspections and address any quality issues promptly.
  • Act as a project manager for small scale R&D projects.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and standards.
  • Effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Your background and what we find important:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in engineering with a focus on battery design, maintenance, testing, or charger systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and delivering engineering projects.
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field.
  • Courses or work experience focused on battery technology, electrochemistry, or energy storage systems.
  • Excellent collaboration skills

Salary Range: $110,000-$152,000
