The Parts & Services Division in Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions has a unique opportunity for an Operational Pricing Analyst to join our Global Pricing team.

Within our Parts & Services Division, we are responsible for the worldwide parts and services activities in SMR, with sales around € 2 billion in the mining and construction industries. Our customer base ranges from large multinational mining companies, to mining contractors, but also to small and medium-sized enterprises, that all use our equipment.

The Operational Pricing Analyst will be part of the Global Pricing team, which is responsible to set list pricing for our vast range of parts in the portfolio, across many countries around the world, and different exchange rates.

Your mission – To set, analyse and maintain our global list pricing

As Operational Pricing Analyst, you will support in development and implementation of global pricing strategies and policies. You will analyze and compile different data sets to get the best perspective on new item prices or adjust existing prices. You ensure there is consistency in pricing levels and processes. In this position, you report to the Global Pricing Manager, and you will be based in Tampere (Finland) or Amsterdam (Netherlands).

On a daily basis you will:

  • Develop, implement and maintain global pricing strategies and policies
  • Monitor margins to maintain global pricing standards
  • Work with global pricing team colleagues to align the global pricing structure
  • Set pricing for new items based on different data inputs and analysis
  • Handle market feedback and pricing requests
  • Liaise with sourcing on cost changes
  • Manage item master harmonization errors
  • Set-up and maintain pricing value drivers
  • Work with our pricing software to set or update global prices

Your character – An analytical mindset with an eye for detail and passion for pricing

We are looking for someone with a university degree in Business (Commerce or Finance) or Engineering. You are accurate with a high attention to detail. You can work with and analyze large quantities of numerical data which you can interpret and summarize into business relevance. A technical background is a preference due to the technical nature of our parts portfolio.

Combined with your analytical mindset you are also able to influence and motivate others to promote change and innovation. You are a fast learner with a genuine interest in contributing to business performance and are results-driven.

You have an eye for detail, have advanced analytical skills and an effective communicator on your analyses. You are highly motivated, hands-on, enthusiastic, and have a passion for pricing. As we operate in an international setting, you need to be fluent in English, both verbally and in writing.
