Job Summary: The Braze Technician will perform a variety of assembly, fabrication, production and operator tasks. Will ensure proper set up machines, programming, tooling, and parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and customer specifications.

Entry-level position with little or no prior relevant training or work experience. Work is prescribed and completed with close supervision little autonomy. Duties are clearly defined, and methods and tasks are described in detail.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, measure, or test completed metal workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using and measuring testing devices.

  • Ensure product accuracy and uniformity throughout the manufacturing process creating consistent parts.

  • Provide general preventative maintenance to all machines.

  • Read blueprints and appropriately adhere to multiple components.

  • Set up, operate, or tend to machines that join or bond components to fabricate metal products or assemblies.

  • Correct problems by adjusting controls or by stopping machines.

  • Attach tip to body of 2 metals

  • Make sure the received pocket is the appropriate size and shape for the supplied tip to meet the drawing requirements.

  • Ensure not to overheat substrate and cause damage.

  • Verify secure bonds before parts leave the department.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • Vocational school or apprenticeship is ideal but not required.

  • Experience with soldering or welding is ideal but not required.


Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Basic mathematical skills including geometry and math conversions.

  • Excellent manual dexterity, accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Develops skills to perform basic, repetitive and manual activities in the job.

  • Understands own tasks and how they relate to others in the team.

  • Uses existing procedures to perform straightforward tasks; has limited opportunity to solve problems.

  • Requires basic communication skills and common courtesy.

  • Use assigned methods, tools and processes.

  • Support sharing of best practices.

Physical Requirements:

  • Prolonged periods standing at a machine.

  • Lightwork that includes bending into the machine, light lifting up to 20 pounds and some repetitive motions.
