Legal Trainee

Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions (SMR) is a business area within the Sandvik Group and a global leading supplier of equipment and tools, parts, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industries.

We are now looking for a Legal Trainee. In this position you will get an opportunity to become a member of dynamic and highly professional Legal and Compliance in-house team with a passion to provide high quality services. We are offering interesting legal tasks and challenges to continue professional development. The role is temporary and part time, location is Turku.

Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and drafting routine commercial contracts and corporate documentation (NDAs, POAs, meeting minutes, sales, framework, sourcing, distribution agreements).
  • Supporting the Legal & Compliance team with template, presentation, tools and documentation preparation.
  • Assisting in legal and compliance projects.
  • Conducting legal research and monitoring legislative, regulative and commercial developments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Laws and/or minimum 150 credit units (or equivalent).
  • Fluent in Finnish and English.
  • Prior international exposure and trainee experience in a law firm or in-house legal team is an advantage.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to take initiatives.
  • Good interpersonal skills, collaborative, detailed-oriented and quick learner.
  • Knowledge of additional languages (Swedish, German, Spanish, French) is an advantage.
