Role Overview:

We are seeking a BI and Data Solutions Architect to lead the design, strategy, and optimization of our business intelligence (BI) and data solutions, with a primary focus on Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This senior role is pivotal in shaping the organization’s data architecture, ensuring robust integration of data systems, and driving advanced analytics adoption across business units. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals, fostering a culture of data-driven decision-making.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement the overall BI and data architecture strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and technological advancements.
  • Lead the design and development of scalable data models, integration pipelines, and advanced Power BI dashboards.
  • Oversee the implementation and optimization of Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, and other data platforms to support robust analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify data requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and establish clear KPIs.
  • Drive best practices for data governance, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security across all BI and analytics solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to BI developers and analysts, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Ensure continuous assessments of current BI and data solutions, identifying opportunities for modernization, efficiency improvements, and automation.
  • Support organizational adoption of self-service analytics tools and support data literacy programs.
  • Explore and integrate emerging technologies like AI/ML, natural language querying, and predictive analytics into BI solutions to enhance decision-making capabilities.
  • Define and oversee strategies for performance and scalability to maintain optimal efficiency in enterprise data solutions.
  • Oversee identity and access management (IAM) and data security practices to safeguard sensitive information.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Power BI, including advanced data modelling, DAX, and visualization design.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics, or similar platforms for data integration and architecture.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise data architecture principles, ETL processes, and database design.
  • Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights.
  • Exceptional coaching and collaboration skills, with experience engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Track record of driving organizational improvements through analytics and data-driven solutions.
  • Experience with Salesforce data sources and understanding of sales processes in general is a plus
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and project management practices.

Preferred Candidate Profile:

Education: A Bachelor’s/Masters degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Professional certifications in Power BI, Azure, or enterprise data architecture is highly desirable.

Experience: A minimum of 4-7 years of experience in BI development, data architecture, or a related field, with at least a couple of years in an architect role. Demonstrated expertise in Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, and Azure services is essential. Experience in a multinational or enterprise-scale environment is required.
