Your performance areas:

The Configuration Management Specialist position is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining configuration management processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain the Teamcenter and SolidWorks PDM systems, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility for all users.
  • Provide expert-level support for Teamcenter, SolidWorks PDM, and various engineering tools and applications, including Ansys, Solidworks CAD, NX CAD(MCAD), Solidworks Electrical, Zuken E3(ECAD), and Mathcad.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Teamcenter and SolidWorks PDM systems as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality, to ensure smooth integration of configuration management processes throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Train and mentor team members on configuration management best practices, Teamcenter, SolidWorks PDM, and other engineering tools and applications.
  • Identify and drive CAD/PLM process improvements.
  • Work with internal systems teams to implement system enhancements in support of operational efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of configuration management processes and tools, identifying areas for innovation and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for configuration management processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry, regulatory and company requirements.
  • Support configuration audits and reviews, and ensure accurate and complete product data.
  • Oversee configuration baselines and ensure proper version control and traceability for all product configurations.
  • Support the management of software licenses and databases, and ensure proper allocation, usage, and compliance with vendor terms.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate engineering applications with other enterprise systems.
  • Install and provide support for various engineering tools and applications, and ensure seamless integration with existing systems and processes.

Your profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and five (5) years of experience as Configuration Management Engineer, PLM Support Associate, PLM Analyst, Technical Engineer - PLM, or Systems Engineer. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, or Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering and three (3) years of experience as Configuration Management Engineer, PLM Support Associate, PLM Analyst, Technical Engineer - PLM, or Systems Engineer.
  • The required five (5) years of experience (with Bachelor’s degree) or three (3) years of experience (with Master’s degree) must have included PLM and/or PDM systems support and management, configuration management, and/or PLM integration, and the use of CAD tools.

Salary: $128,398 to $169,224/year
