The aim of the new SMR Business Intelligence team is to deliver business value by providing insights to business users within a short time frame. This objective will require modernised data architecture and a good understanding of our data domains. The team will shift its focus from tools and technology to understanding the business questions that need to be answered, and the data required to answer them. We are seeking an experienced MDG (Master Data Governance) Solution Architect to join the Data & Analytics team. As an MDG Solution Architect, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining SAP MDG solutions that meet business requirements. Maintain documentation and specifications of all the domains within MDG and be the central point of contact for program. You will also be responsible for overseeing a team of junior developers, ensuring solution quality, and driving continuous improvement in SAP MDG landscapes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Solution Architecture & Design:
    • Lead the design and implementation of SAP MDG (Master Data Governance) solutions in alignment with business goals.
    • Ensure that the solution architecture meets project requirements and integrates seamlessly with other business processes and systems.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective SAP MDG solutions.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance in SAP ABAP, Workflow, WebDynpro, UI5/Fiori development, ensuring that best practices are followed.
  • Project Collaboration:
    • Work closely with SAP ERP implementation programs and other initiatives to ensure that SAP MDG solutions support project objectives.
    • Design and implement the necessary changes to SAP MDG solutions in line with the requirements of ongoing projects.
    • Provide strategic input to project planning and execution to ensure seamless integration of SAP MDG functionalities.
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Oversee and mentor a team of junior developers, providing technical direction, code reviews, and support as needed.
    • Ensure that development standards are adhered to and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
  • Solution Documentation & Maintenance:
    • Maintain comprehensive solution documentation for SAP MDG implementations, ensuring that all configurations, customizations, and integrations are well-documented.
    • Ensure that solution documentation is kept up-to-date with any changes or enhancements made during the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including a strong understanding of SAP Workflow, WebDynpro, and UI5/Fiori.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing SAP MDG solutions, including data modeling, governance workflows, and integration with other SAP modules.
  • Strong understanding of SAP architecture, including integration with ERP systems, and experience with SAP HANA is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating on large-scale projects
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor junior developers, providing technical guidance and ensuring high-quality deliverables.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Master Data Governance (MDG)
  • SAP Certified Development Associate - ABAP with SAP NetWeaver:
  • SAP Certified Development Specialist - SAP Fiori Application Developer
  • Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) or Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
