Job Summary
The IT Systems Process Professional will be part of a globally supported local IT team with a mission to design, install and support IT solutions, applications, systems, and infrastructure within Sandvik Coromant’s Westminster Production Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, maintain, and upgrade production-based IT solutions.
  • Provide system support and configuration for facility location (both on site and remote).
  • Participate in site-specific and global projects.
  • Create and maintain documentation for systems, applications, and hardware assets.
  • Develop and execute disaster recovery & life cycle management plans/roadmaps.
  • Organize and conduct training for personnel.
  • Interact with plant managers, production engineers, process owners & IT demand management.
  • Participate in continuous improvement forums and service performance follow-up meetings.

Candidate’s Profile

  • Experience working in an Industrial IT environment including manufacturing and engineering processes, lean manufacturing, process mapping and analysis, CNC machining, machine automation, control systems and integration, OEE & MES systems, HMI and SCADA, and Industrial LAN.
  • Experience in supporting client-based hardware (laptops, desktops, industrial computers), Windows client and server, Microsoft SQL server and client, VMware Server and Workstation, Cisco LAN/WAN appliances, Fortinet Firewall and Switch management, Oracle server and client, various office and plant peripherals, and industrial machine level interfaces. Must have in-depth knowledge of Networking protocols and practices.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in computer science or engineering with two years of technical experience is preferred. An associate degree with four years of technical experience will be considered.
  • Ability to occasionally travel both domestically and internationally is required.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are a MUST.
  • Strong team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
