HR Generalist (Ankara)

Sandvik Turkiye is looking for a motivated HR Specialist to join their branch offices in Ankara to manage a broad spectrum of HR generalist activities such as recruitment, HR Administration, employment relations, performance management and training as well as execute various HR processes and policies in the country.

Location of the position is Ankara, Turkey.

This role will be report directly to the Territory Manager, SMR in Ankara while expected maintain a strong partnership with HR Country Coordinator, Turkey. The successful candidate will also be expected to cooperate with Sales Area HR Business Partner based in Dubai on a periodic basis.

Your responsibilities

Your key responsibilities will include the below:

  • Support with EHS activities and initiatives in the Territory
  • Manage full responsibility of a range of employee lifecycle activities such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, talent management, payroll, training and development, system changes, etc.
  • Manage the recruitment process by supporting with business case, planning, posting the job advertisement, arranging and conducting interviews, acquiring documentation and references until onboarding
  • Execute Compensation and Benefits activities together with country and global contacts such the Annual Merit Review and manage ad-hoc requirements
  • Contribute to the payroll process by providing data for overtime, additional allowances, promotions etc.
  • Manage yearly training & development activities.
  • Support managers/employees with Performance Management activities
  • Ensure efficiency of HR service operations, technology and transaction processes and effectively management of employee data and lifecycle activities in human resource information systems.
  • Support HR Country Coordinators in line with the Sandvik's yearly HR plan.
  • Update and develop relevant HR-IT systems and tools
  • Support HR projects & local implementation activities
  • Act as an internal communicator of Human Resources department
  • Preparing local & global reports based on HR KPI’s and periodic/ad-hoc reports if requested

Your skills and qualifications

  • We are looking for someone who possesses a solid background in the field of Human Resources comprising of least 3 years of working experience in the field of Human Resources which includes experience operating an HR Enterprise platform to manage the Employee Lifecycle.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or Sciences/ Management/Administration or equivalent from a recognized university; alternately, a higher diploma or certificate in a related field combined with needed years of experience.
  • You possess excellent interpersonal and are service minded with the ability to set priorities to manage tight timescales. You are good at building relationships with internal stakeholders and are adept at working in an international Matrix environment.
  • Strong communication skills in Turkish as well as in English, both verbal and written, and the ability to interact with all levels of management inside the Territory are prerequisites for this role.
  • The job may include occasional travel within the Territory and abroad if necessary.
