Business Controller - IT

About your job

As our new Business Controller, you play a critical role in supporting the financial management, planning and control of IT activities across our business area and its divisions. Your focus is to ensure that IT investments, projects, products and operational costs are aligned with both the business area’s strategic objectives and Sandvik’s overall vision of driving innovation, efficiency, and sustainable growth. Working closely with IT, Finance and business leaders, you provide valuable financial insights and performance analysis that enhance business value and digital transformation. Lastly, taking part in our SMS IT Strategy and Transformation, you’re an important and integral part of our IT Management team, working closely with our divisional heads of IT.

The location for this position is either Sandviken or Stockholm and we offer you a hybrid work solution where you can combine time at the office with working from home.

About you

We’re looking for an experienced Business Controller with solid experience in financial controlling or business analysis, with a focus on IT or technology-related costs. We believe that you also have experience working within a large and global organization. You have proficiency in financial management systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle or similar) and data analysis tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau or similar). Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling, scenario planning and cost analysis are needed. Your knowledge is backed by a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or equivalent experience gained from work. As you’re active in a global environment you need to be fluent in English, verbally and in writing. Knowledge of Swedish is a plus.

You’re a true collaborator who thrives in a setting where you get to interact with people across borders. You have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills and easily build strong relations based on transparency and trust. With a business mindset and the future in mind, you mix working both operatively and strategically to reach the best outcomes. Your strong analytical and problem-solving are great assets when using data and financial models to guide decision-making and optimize performance!
