Finance Manager / Head of Accounting & Tax (m/f/x)

Your responsibilities

  • Management of Accounting (local GAAP / UGB and IFRS) & tax topics (direct & indirect taxes) for the local entity and in conjunction with various international subsidiaries or associated entities.
  • Directing and controlling of group transfer pricing setup and relevant charges to / from the local entity in its role as principal site for the global Mechanical Cutting Division.
  • Monthly reporting (IFRS) of key balance sheet and P&L positions – in alignment and in collaboration with local Controlling team.
  • Coordination and execution of yearly audits with external auditors.
  • Regular internal tax reporting.
  • Participation in various local and internationally embedded projected that impact the areas of accounting and tax.
  • Management and oversight of locally deployed internal control setup and key interface to the group.
  • Legal and statutory compliance of reporting (UGB & tax reporting).
  • Management and direction of local files to support underlying functional analysis of the site and its associated entities.
  • DAC-6 analysis and oversight of relevant transactions.
  • Regular interaction with different key departments to ensure proper adherence to rules of accounting (IFRS), taxes or internal controls.
  • Participation in cross-border projects.
  • Responsibility of local FX (foreign exchange) management by deploying forward & balance sheet hedges.
  • Regular optimization of underlying SAP procedures and FI model with a focus on ongoing automation & digitalization.
  • Interaction with various departments for the development and deployment of EU required sustainability reporting in conjunction with the annual statutory reporting.
  • Management and development of the Finance Team (ca. 8 people).
  • Limited travel requirements (<10%).>
  • Location is Zeltweg (Styria) in Austria.
  • Reporting line goes to Director Finance & Controlling for the global Mechanical Cutting division, where the site in Zeltweg is the global Headquarter of the divisional management team.

Your profile

  • 10+ years experience in Finance & Tax in a larger international setup.
  • Very solid understanding of local GAAP (UGB) and IFRS.
  • Experience to manage transactional & corporate tax topics in Austria.
  • Solid experience with SAP (mainly FI but also CO to a lesser extend).
  • Experience with internationally common group accounting / reporting consolidation systems (SAP, Oracle, OneStream, MS Dynamics etc.).
  • Good understanding of international transfer pricing setups and structures.
  • Solid understanding and experience in FX management through various tools & mechanics.
  • Perfect German skills are a must; English skills have to be (at least) on an advanced professional level.
  • Proven track record of people management and development.
  • Proven track record with managing and direction internal controls (SOX experience preferred).
  • Highly analytical, well organized, good communication skills and a leadership style that focuses on the individuals by in parallel ensures high performance from the team.
  • Proactive personality that manages and decides on facts and can convince people by getting them on board.
  • A self-learning character that can cut through different sets of information to understand, analyze and judge on the core essence and propose an appropriate way forward on key decisions in terms of financial / accounting impacts.

The minimum base salary for this position is € 100 000 gross per year. The exact salary depends on your qualification and professional experience. In addition, this position is participating in variable incentive scheme.
