About the Role

The Senior Business Controller will play a critical role in providing financial leadership and support to the industrial software division of our international group. This position is responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, and control, ensuring that business decisions are well-supported by robust financial data and analysis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial management within an international environment, a strong understanding of industrial software markets, and a proven track record of driving financial performance and accountability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Planning & Analysis:
    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
    • Conduct financial analysis and modeling to support business decisions.
    • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
    • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial statements in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
    • Provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysis.
  • Cost Control & Efficiency:
    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
    • Monitor and control operational expenditures.
    • Implement best practices in financial management and control.
  • Business Partnering:
    • Collaborate with senior management and other departments to drive financial performance.
    • Provide financial insights and guidance to support strategic initiatives.
    • Act as a financial advisor to the management team on business risks and opportunities.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with local, and international financial regulations.
    • Identify and manage financial risks.
    • Maintain a strong internal control environment.

Required Skills

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • MBA or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in a senior controller role.
  • Experience in the industrial software sector or a related industry.
  • Proven track record in an international business environment.
