Senior EHS Specialist (Starszy Specjalista ds. BHP i ochrony środowiska)

Your responsibilites

Creating, reviewing, advising and approving safety procedures, safe job documentation and environmental projects, implementing the Occupational Health and Safety Service tasks in compliance with Polish law
Developing prevention and protection measures as required by the legislation, participating in and/or leadership of EHS assessments (internally and externally), coordinating action plans
Reviewing and updating EHS permits on an annual basis
Legal and corporate reporting of EHS required data, ensuring compliance with Sandvik Group reporting and escalation processes
Investigating accidents, incidents, near misses and implements corrective and preventative measures to prevent reoccurrence
Shop floor presence, spending time on site and working closely with colleagues to make safety improvements, training and educating employees on EHS rules and procedures
First aid, firefighting and evacuation procedures
The correct use of dangerous substance and preparations, according to safety data sheets and to Polish and EU legislation
Overseeing environmental initiatives such as waste management, pollution prevention, air quality, etc. to minimize the site’s environmental impact
