Seco Tools is seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our global team as Engineering Manager, based in the Greater Charlotte, NC area. In this key leadership role, you will guide a cross-functional team within the Americas, driving product design, cost analysis, and quoting for custom cutting tools. Your efforts will contribute to delivering innovative machining solutions to a diverse, global customer base, ensuring excellence in engineering and customer satisfaction

As an Engineering Manager, you will manage a talented team of Design and Quoting Engineers in the Americas, crafting custom cutting tool solutions for manufacturing customers across various industries. This role is perfect for a leader passionate about innovation, teamwork, and excellence in machining solutions.

Educational & Professional Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of management experience in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the engineering team to provide prompt and innovative machining solutions for our sales and field teams.
  • Evaluate and recommend machining strategies and tools to optimize customer outcomes.
  • Oversee technical leadership for cutting tool design, function, and material selection.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing to enhance designs and improve product documentation.
  • Develop and standardize processes to streamline quoting, design, and engineering activities.
  • Foster relationships with global engineering groups to share insights and best practices.
  • Promote continuous improvement in processes, methods, and systems.

Technical Expertise

  • Cutting tool design for Aerospace, Automotive, and general manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in interpreting drawings, including GD&T.
  • Experience with NX CAD (parameters, macros, visual basic) and AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems (preferably M3) and basic materials science.
  • Expertise in product costing and quoting.
