Internal Communications Manager
At Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions, we’re now looking for an Internal Communications Manager to drive and handle internal communication across our global organization. You’ll be at the heart of everything that happens – a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of our operations and provide insights into all aspects of our business.
Welcome to a pivotal role where every day brings new challenges and opportunities, ensuring your work is dynamic and varied!
About your job
In this position, you're part of a small, close-knit team of six people, working independently but in regular collaboration with your colleagues – fostering a supportive and versatile work environment where teamwork is key. You support members of the business area management team and all of our business area’s Common Functions, as well as working closely with the divisional and sales organizations.
You’re responsible for creating clear and concise messages, producing accurate and engaging in-house content, and possess the ability to grasp and adapt lengthy, complex and often technical text. You handle multiple priorities at speed, demonstrating integrity and confidentiality, especially in crisis communication and sensitive organizational matters, including restructuring and M&A. This hands-on role requires balancing strategic and tactical communication – conveying high-level messages, such as business area strategy, while managing day-to-day tasks. Taking ownership of all content that is published at business area level, you ensure that it is targeted appropriately.
You report directly to the Vice President of Marketing & Communications. The location for this position is flexible within Europe, preferably close to one of our sites. We offer a hybrid work setup, allowing you to combine office and remote work.
Your profile
We’re looking for someone with a background in communications with exceptional writing and editorial skills, proficient in conveying messages clearly and concisely. You have experience of internal communications in large global organizations, preferably within the industrial or engineering sector. Your knowledge is backed by a bachelor’s or master’s degree within communication, and you have an overall business understanding. Acting in a global environment calls for the highest standard of English language, both verbal and written.
You’re energetic and confident with a multicultural understanding – capable of handling multiple priorities and dealing with people at all levels and across the breadth of our organization. Strong stakeholder management and internal communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to quickly grasp and prioritize key information for effective communication. You’re a self-driven and tactful team-player, able to manage political dynamics. This role requires a holistic and proactive approach – effectively communicating change and challenging stakeholders to identify and address communication needs.
Our culture
Our role is clear – through every action, every day, we make the shift and advance the world through engineering. We believe in an inclusive, equal and open-minded culture, and we nurture our diversities to form a solid foundation for achieving great results. We also offer fair and rewarding benefits, together with many varied career options. Are you intrigued? Visit our website, LinkedIn or Facebook page to get to know us further.
