About the Role

As a Director Communication, you will develop and execute a strategic communication plan to strengthen the organization’s brand, reputation, and employee engagement. You will build and lead a strong, effective team and ensure clear, consistent messaging across internal and external channels, aligning communication efforts with business objectives. Additionally, you will be part of the Brand, Marketing and Communication Management Team and report to the Vice President of Brand, Marketing, and Communication. Location for this role is flexible within Europe, APAC region or Americas.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will develop and implement strategic communication plans to align with our business goals and enhance our brand reputation. You will ensure consistent messaging across all channels and engage employees to support our company culture.

Externally, you will manage media relations, press releases, and crisis communications to maintain a positive public image. You will oversee key corporate messaging for consistency and build relationships with key stakeholders, including employees, media, and customers.

You will identify and develop thought leadership topics, produce high-quality content, and activate it across various platforms. Your structured approach to messaging will ensure clarity and impact. Finally, you will create a comprehensive communication plan outlining strategies, tactics, and timelines for effective communication.

About you

We are looking for someone with Master or Bachelor’s degree in communications, or related field and over 10 years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, or related fields, ideally in a global or multinational company. You should be able to develop and execute communication strategies aligned with business objectives, translate business goals into effective messaging, and measure communication impact. Handling internal communications, leadership messaging, and employee engagement is essential, along with creating executive communication materials like speeches and announcements. Building relationships with media, industry leaders, and key stakeholders, positioning the company as a thought leader, and developing executive positioning strategies are important. You'll manage external communication and media relations to maintain a positive public image, including planning and execute crisis communication.

Proven managerial experience with a focus on guiding and developing teams is required, as well as exceptional leadership abilities to effectively collaborate with executives and other key stakeholders. Managing budgets and projects efficiently with effective time management skills are also required. A growth mindset is essential, as you will collaborate with peers to influence the direction of the newly established Brand, Marketing and Communication department. Fluency in written and verbal English is a must.
