About the Role

As a Director Marketing Strategy and Insights, your role is to drive growth through a robust Brand, Marketing and Communication (BMC) strategy, aligned with the Seco strategy and with a focus on market management. This involves developing and executing a brand strategy to enhance market positioning and a comprehensive customer experience strategy. Additionally, you will be part of the Brand, Marketing and Communication Management Team and report to the Vice President of Brand, Marketing, and Communication. Location for this role is flexible within Europe, APAC region or Americas.

Key Responsibilities

As the Marketing Strategy and Insights Director, your responsibilities will include translating business strategy into a detailed BMC strategy, conducting research to understand customer needs, and identifying customer segments. You will set the strategic direction for marketing and communication, define target segments, positioning, objectives, and develop the 4P strategy.

You will drive the customer experience strategy, ensuring seamless and positive interactions at every touchpoint. Additionally, you will develop and maintain a brand strategy, provide leadership to align actions with brand values, and oversee the integration of acquired brands.

Gathering and distributing insights to guide decisions and strategies will be crucial. You will support the entire Seco organization by collecting, preparing, and sharing insights to make informed decisions.

This role is key to shaping and executing marketing and communication efforts across the organization.

About you

We are seeking a candidate with Master or Bachelor degree in business, marketing, communication or related field and over 10 years of experience in marketing and brand management. Someone with demonstrated experience in crafting and executing marketing strategies that align with overarching business goals. For this role you should be proficient in conducting market research and data analysis to drive informed decision-making. Hands-on experience in both strategic marketing planning and its practical implementation is essential, along with a strong background in brand management.

You will need to be adept at working with diverse internal teams to achieve common objectives and skilled in stakeholder management. Proven managerial experience with a focus on guiding and developing teams is required, as well as exceptional leadership abilities to effectively collaborate with executives and other key stakeholders.

A strong understanding of business operations and market dynamics is crucial. You must be fluent in both written and verbal English and demonstrate the ability to manage budgets efficiently. Self-motivation and the capability to lead initiatives independently are also important qualities we are looking for. A growth mindset is essential, as you will collaborate with peers to influence the direction of the newly established Brand, Marketing and Communication department.
