Location : Gaborone (Head Office)

The Role

The Office Administrator/Receptionist will be responsible for capturing, recording, and analyzing of data at Gaborone, Head office. Also ensuring the accuracy of the information recorded.

Key Performance Areas:

  • Provide administrative support to the MD and HR
  • Maintain and organize office records, files and documentation
  • Prepare and distribute internal communications and documentation
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
  • Sort, organize and file paperwork after entering data
  • Liaise with external vendors and suppliers to ensure smooth office operations
  • Handle travel and lodging arrangements for employees and executives
  • Responsible for all data entries and hard copy filing
  • Assist in generating supplier purchase orders
  • Managing Office calls
  • Adhere to all SMR Policies and procedures and SHEQ policies
  • Organizing team building and welfare events
  • Assist with Expatriates work & residents permit applications through an agent

Your Profile:

  • Diploma in Business Administration
  • Experience in working in mining environment is an added advantage
  • Excellent computer literacy skills are required, with experience in using database systems
  • Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
  • Good command of English both oral and written and customer service skills
  • Great attention to detail
  • Previous experience in data entry and control required
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team and provide guidance to members of the team
  • Possession of Valid drivers’ license, preferably class B
