Improving lives in Tanzania
The first project that Sandvik specifically has been engaged in is "Wind Power for Tanzania", aimed at complementing the electricity supply to, for example, schools and hospitals in off-grid rural areas. By building and maintaining small-scale wind power turbines and installing solar panels, the project has provided improved energy supply also to other fundamentals for the local community buildings.
