Inventory Planner– Parts
Location: Pune
Sandvik Mining and Rock Solutions is a leading global supplier of equipment and tools, service and technical solutions for the mining and construction industry. Our offering cover rock drilling, rock cutting, rock crushing, loading and hauling and materials handling.
Job Summary
Inventory Planner is responsible for all parts inventory operations at the area of responsibility (Geographically or Country)
Main responsibilities are:
- Inventory Management and processes
- Order management (internal & external suppliers)
- Returns to supplier ( Group Company ) processing.
- Support operational task of inventory management processes.
In this position she/he will report to General Manager – Logistics Operations India.
The Role/Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure Health, Safety & Environment guidelines are followed as per Sandvik Global and Local guidelines.
- Responsible for issuing the replenishment orders to satellites from: SMRTIPL, Production Units (intercompany) and Local Suppliers.
- Responsible for purchase order expediting.
- Responsible to support Inventory Planners in the items parameter settings in the stockrooms, if needed.
- Responsible to manage DRP orders if the replenishment of the stockrooms is under RIM responsibility.
- Responsible for the execution of the returns to SMRTIPL.
- Identify process and system requirements at area level for continuous improvements.
- Responsible to support Strategic stock process for parameter setting in stockrooms.
- Support to Improve customer experience and availability (fill rate) of Parts standard assortment in the stockrooms of responsibility.
- Responsible for analysis and to drive stock optimization initiatives (i.e.: returns process) on regular bases.
- Decision maker for slow and non-moving items centralization.
- Responsible to coordinate with warehouse manager any improvement activities related with inventory control.
- Participate and support regional/global initiatives or projects as needed.
- Identifying and resolving inventory discrepancies and issues.
- Monitor and Analize customer site MinMax levels to maintain good availability.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Effective communication with internal/external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Power BI and power point presentation is added advantage.
- Ensure to have control on Non-moving inventory by taking all possible efforts.
- Support Logistics / Inventory manager for required tasks as and when required.
- Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices.
Qualifications
We are looking for Graduate with PGD / Master within the supply chain Area with a solid background from working in Inventory / Supply Chain for 8 to 10 years preferred to have techno commercial background [Diploma/BE]. You demonstrate an excellent working knowledge of Supply Chain Management and aftermarket inventory management challenges. You are expected to have strong Knowledge of ERP systems, business management tools and standard Software like Microsoft Office / IMS etc. Knowledge of aftermarket business and/or mining business is a definite plus.
As a pro-active, self-driven individual, you are a strong communicator with sound leadership skills who can lead change initiatives across cultures.

The role may involve travel to different regions within India and Global ( As and When required ).
