We are now looking for an Application Specialist to strengthen the technical sales organization of the Solid Round Tools area in the UK/IRE market.
Job summary
Your target as Solid Round Tools Application Specialist will be to act as a driver for all technical aspects related to Solid Round Tools products and support salesforce in technical support activities and promotion of Solid Round Tools Coromant technologies on direct customers and resellers in the UK/IRE market.
In this role, you will have the target to understand the needs, critical issues and expectations of customers from a technical point of view, as well as follow the sales activities in daily operations to maintain and increase market share and profit targets.
Significant knowledge of Solid Round Tools products is required to offer oneself as a technical reference to our customer, as well as a commercial background to be able to enhance the value of Solid Round Tools Coromant solutions. Working in a cross-functional environment, the aim to deliver the highest quality while continuously determining and improving critical success factors and ways of working. Leading by example, also engage the entire organization in an atmosphere of open communication and hands-on customer interaction, removing barriers and gaps in our processes.
The person we are looking for will help maintain and strengthen strategic business collaborations in Solid Round Tools with partner companies through opportunity analysis, technical testing, support in technical issues, training on potential of solutions, new product presentations, sales activities and support in organizing events and open houses.
In Sandvik Coromant, you will work in a structured context, supported by a widespread organization and constant training to foster induction and professional growth. You will constantly liaise with Customers, Application Specialists and Account Managers in the different areas, Coromant Center’s point of contacts for trainings to customers and internal sales force, the global Solid Round Tools organization, and you will report directly to the Solid Round Tools Sales Manager for the South-West Europe Region.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with proven technical experience in solid round tools technologies and excellent knowledge of mechanical machining. You have a proven track record in delivering good business results and an understanding of CAD/CAM and relevant application knowledge. You possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and demonstrate problem solving skills, initiative as well as results and customer oriented. Willingness to travel within the UK/IE territory for activities on customers and to the company headquarters in Halesowen for training activities. You have a degree in automation, management or mechanical engineering or a technical diploma with equivalent experience developed in the solid round tools field.
