The Role

We are currently seeking ana motivated Electrician to join our team at our new, state of the art workshop in Kenwick. We are open to considering Electrician from outside the mining industry so if you are looking for a chance to enter the industry then this is your opportunity!

The focus of this role will be to carry out low voltage electrical installs, maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on Sandvik equipment while maintaining availability and minimising costs.

  • Install, repair, inspect and commission 1000-volt systems to customer specifications.

  • Perform fault diagnosis, machine assembly, maintenance, and repair work on Sandvik’s range of mining equipment.

  • Repairs and maintenance to workshop equipment.

  • Perform repair and fault finding using electrical schematics.

  • Responsible for planning, conducting, and maintaining tools and equipment for service work.

  • Support the customer’s product/equipment/processes by suggesting improvements.

  • Proactive approach to site safety requirements.

  • Abide by Safety and Environmental guidelines, Australian standards, and contractual requirements.

About You

  • Relevant trade qualification (Electrical / WA Electrical License or the ability to obtain one).

  • Knowledge of AS3800 would be advantageous.

  • Ability to learn and adapt to evolving equipment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with a can-do attitude and the ability to positively influence others.

  • Ability to pass pre-employment medical, reference checks, police checks and regular onsite drug & alcohol testing.

  • Previous experience in the mining industry desired but not essential.
